The importance of building a strong brand or business is a huge point in e-commerce. The difference between building a brand and just selling a product is huge. The idea behind building a brand is creating a unique flow of elements that tie into your brand and make it unique. Many companies have done this by connecting with a niche audience and figuring out how to stand out among the others within that same niche.

In 2021, people are starting to understand e-commerce and marketing tactics much more. Of course, there are still some people who impulse buy and don’t really care about the “buyers experience”, but for the most part people are pretty smart. Consumers want to know where their product is coming from, who is behind the brand they are buying from and all the vital information they need to feel safe purchasing from somewhere online. Especially if you are selling products to a younger audience. Since I started my ecommerce journey, I know exactly what type of website I’ll never buy from. No tracking information or way to track your order? Shipping times longer than a few days? All these x factors play a huge role in the overall feel of your business and how people resonate with your brand. Building a consistent purchasing experience from start to finish is one of the most important steps in e-commerce. Do the pages look the same? Do the colors match each other across the homepage, cart, and checkout page? Are the marketing emails consistent with the brand colors and style?

Now more than ever we have people entering the world of e-commerce. The circulation of new products and new online businesses have become so evident in today’s world that we are no longer selling a product to customers. We are selling the assurance and conviction of trust.
